Description

A quote or estimate book lets you price a job on the spot, hand the customer a copy, and keep the carbon for yourself — so when the work is agreed there’s no argument about what was quoted. Builders, plumbers, electricians, garages, landscapers and mobile mechanics all use one for the same reason: a written quote given at the door converts better than a promise to email later, and the duplicate is your evidence if the customer later says the figure was different.

Our personalised quotation books are printed in full colour on A5 NCR paper, 50 sets per book, with your logo, business name and contact details on every page. Clear columns for description, quantity, price and terms, plus space for your own conditions — and free sequential numbering so every quote is traceable when it turns into an invoice.

Free design service

We offer a free design service based on our templates (logo design not included), or we can print your own ready-to-print artwork at no extra cost. Our pads are perforated and stapled at the top for a professional finish, but we can glue them instead if you prefer — just let us know. See our full range of NCR forms.

Free sequential numbering

Numbering can be included free of charge. Just tell us how you need them numbered and we’ll set it up.

How to prevent copy bleed-through

A white 400gsm board is included with each pad to place between sets, preventing anything copying onto the next set.

Quote book FAQs

What’s the difference between a quote and an estimate?

A quote is a fixed price you’re committing to. An estimate is your best assessment of likely cost, which can change if the work turns out differently. Say which one you’re giving on the document itself — the wording on the page is what a customer will hold you to if there’s a dispute later.

How long should a quote stay valid?

Most trades give 30 days, though for materials-heavy work 14 days is safer when prices are moving. State the expiry on the quote itself. Once the period has passed you’re free to re-price without going back on your word, which is the main reason to print a validity line rather than leave it blank.

Do I need to include VAT on a quote?

If you’re VAT registered, show the net figure, the VAT and the total separately so the customer knows exactly what they’re paying. If you’re not registered, don’t mention VAT at all — implying it when you can’t charge it causes problems. We can print your VAT number on every page as part of your details.

Can I use the same book for quotes and invoices?

You can, but it’s usually better not to. A quote and an invoice do different jobs, and mixing them in one numbered sequence makes your records harder to follow at year end. Most customers order a quote book alongside an invoice book and keep the numbering separate.

If you need to bill for the work once it’s agreed, see our personalised invoice books. For payment taken on the day, our duplicate receipt books do the same job in A6 or A5.
